Our annual Beat the Heat Competition is back at Echo Park! BTH is a one-of-a-kind community bouldering competition based on redpoint level rather than gender or age. Each category will have its own final boulder — the trademark highlight of Beat the Heat — and a total of five winners across five categories (15 top 3 podium spots!).

The Amy Stone Project is having its first West Coast meetup at The Stronghold Echo Park. The Amy Stone Foundation is dedicated to improving accessibility and fostering access within rock climbing through programming for those less served and less represented within our sport.

Climb the Gap is beating the heat—the heat outdoors—and hosting a movie night at The Stronghold Echo Park. They will be hosting this in lieu of their usual outdoor excursion.

Queer Crush is a climbing meetup non-profit that creates safe spaces for queer, trans, and gender diverse folx. Come meet other queer climbers in a fun-filled night of climbing and socializing. Once per month at each gym!

ASL Climb Day will be held at The Stronghold Lincoln Heights on a monthly basis by Sonya (@deafclimber)! Sonya founded the ASL Climbing Network, a community of ASL climbers around the world.
Sonya often organizes monthly meet-ups at the gym, local crags, and Joshua Tree National Park for her Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing climbing community.
