10TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY CRUSHERS '24 / HALLOWEEN PARTY!

Community Crushers is BACK this October with 4 weeks of competition! For those of you who are new, CC is our biggest event of the year, and we end it with a bang: a lights-out Halloween Party on the last Friday of the month!

Our lights-out climbing night will host a costume competition, dyno comp, and other fun activities!

Regular registration ends 9/30: $25 for members / $35 for non-members.

ECHO PARK NIGHT MARKET

The Stronghold Echo Park is hosting its very first Echo Park Night Market, where local small business owners will be tabling their wares! We are so excited to highlight some of the incredible creativity and entrepreneurship in our climbing community.

Echo Park Night Markets will occur every last Friday of the month (BFF). For September, we’ll be hosting Knicknatts, Monkey Flower, Dynamite Starfish, and Mise en Press. Come support small businesses and get a bouldering session in!

If you have a small business and would like to table, you can apply by filling out our interest form below. Spots are limited!

BREWERY ARTWALK: WHERE ART LIVES

Artwalk is back this October! Witness the creativity of our neighbors during the Brewery Artwalk open studio weekend. Hundreds of artists will be displaying work spread across the Brewery’s 16 acre campus. Food trucks will be available on South Avenue 21, and the UPS lots next door will offer free parking. The gym will be open with normal hours and host artists with art on display!

So come by and check out some art and get a climbing session in this weekend!

NO MAN'S LAND FILM TOUR

This screening will feature the best climbing films from the festival, including the film “Luminoso – The Search For Why,” which stars, our very own, N.S. David on an adventure in Mexico’s El Potrero Chico. You will even spot Los Angeles climber Ernesto Magallanez wearing a Stronghold t-shirt in the film!

N.S. herself will be attend the screening. Join us for this exciting night of mountain film and community! The event will open its doors at 7:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. showtime. General admission is $10, and admission is free for members of the Stronghold Climbing Gym and the American Alpine Club.

THANKSGIVING CLIMBING CAMP

Fall/Winter Youth Climbing Camp season is just around the corner–beat the rush and sign up for our Thanksgiving week!

MEET-UPS / RECURRING

LOCAL YOUTH CLIMB DAY

We’ll be offering $10 day passes (with rental chalk and shoes included) for local youth on Friday, October 4th.

Please note that all climbers under 18 years of age need to have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian, and children need to be actively supervised at all times.

CLIMB THE GAP

Calling all people who are interested in supporting current and future climbers of color, and cultivating a more diverse and equitable outdoors! @climbthegap hosts a meet with climbers of color (allies welcome!) to plan fun and impactful future activities and, of course, climb!

Free for Members, $20 for Non-Members. First time visitors to the gym climb free through CTG!

WALL FLOWERS + QUEER CRUSH

Our Wall Flowers meet-up will now be hosted by Queer Crush, a non-profit that creates safe spaces for queer, trans, and gender diverse folx, twice a month! Meet other queer climbers in a fun-filled night of climbing and socializing!

Free for Members, $20 for Non-Members. First time visitors to the gym climb free through Wall Flowers/Queer Crush!

ADAPTIVE CLIMBING CLUB

Don’t let a disability stop you from getting vertical. Drop by to participate or volunteer. More info on our website or @strongholdadaptiveclimbing.
