12TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY CRUSHERS COMPETITION

Community Crushers is back this October with four weeks of competition! For those of you who are new, CC is our biggest event of the year and we end it with a bang: a lights-out Halloween Party on the last Friday of the month. We’re excited for what’s in store—you don’t want to miss out on this one!

Regular registration ends on 10/4: $30 for members / $45 for non-member; last chance to received event tee giveaway!

THE STRONGHOLD HALLOWEEN PARTY

Every year we our Community Crushers Competitions ends and coincides with our Lights-out Halloween Party!

Our Halloween Party also hosts our highly-anticipated dyno comp and costume contest. So mark your calendar for a night of fun and climbing!

FALL '26 BREWERY ARTWALK

Over a hundred artists from every discipline and genre will be opening their studios to the public. Knick Natts & Shelly will be tabling inside The Stronghold, so come support and check out their wares!

Entry to the Artwalk will be $5. If you’re not visiting for Artwalk, you can show your membership fob or let security know that you are only here to use the gym.

SESSIONS: A SPECIAL JAPANESE-INSPIRED BOULDER SET

Come climb on Japanese-inspired boulders at The Stronghold Echo Park! Hosted by Ollie & Matthew, they are excited to partner with Mad Rock to host a session dedicated to hard climbing, high-level movement, and sharing psych with friends.

Free for members / day pass required for non-members.

HOLIDAY NIGHT MARKET

The Stronghold is excited to bring back our Small Business Holiday Market at our Lincoln Heights location!

We’re looking for local makers, artists, and small business owners to showcase and sell their handmade goods, crafts, and unique products. Applications close on Sunday, November 8th. Check out last year’s vendors here.

Bring a Friend Friday is the first Friday of every month!

Members can bring a friend for FREE for BFF.* Gear included!

ADAPTIVE CLIMBING CLUB

Don’t let a disability stop you from getting vertical. Drop by to participate or volunteer. More info on our website or @strongholdadaptiveclimbing.

CLIMB THE GAP

Calling all people who are interested in supporting current and future climbers of color, and cultivating a more diverse and equitable outdoors! @climbthegap hosts a meet with climbers of color (allies welcome!) to plan fun and impactful future activities and, of course, climb!

Free for Members, $22 for Non-Members. First time visitors to the gym climb free through CTG!

QUEER CRUSH

Queer Crush is a climbing meetup non-profit that creates safe spaces for queer, trans, and gender diverse folx. Come meet other queer climbers in a fun-filled night of climbing and socializing. Once per month at each gym!

FILIPINUP

We’re adding another great monthly meetup to our lineup every 2nd Monday of the month! FilipinUp is a Filipino climbers collective that uplifts Filipinos by building community through climbing, outdoors, and Pilipino culture. Akyat tayo (let’s climb)

ASL CLIMB DAY

ASL Climb Day will be held at The Stronghold Lincoln Heights on a monthly basis by Sonya (@deafclimber)! Sonya founded the ASL Climbing Network, a community of ASL climbers around the world.

Sonya often organizes monthly meet-ups at the gym, local crags, and Joshua Tree National Park for her Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing climbing community.

Free for Members, $22 for Non-Members. First time visitors to the gym climb free through ASL Climb Day!

ESCALEMOS

Escalemos is a nonprofit organization that builds, strengthens, and celebrates Latine climbing representation within indoor and outdoor climbing spaces.

Their programming explores culture and connection through education, scholarships, and collective care to empower community members to advocate for themselves and their peers.
