Intro To Climbing I - $39

Part I: Learn The Basics To Get Climbing

Intro To Climbing I teaches you the essentials you need to start top-roping in the gym. You will learn skills such as tieing a figure eight climbing knot, and how to belay and lower a climber. This class will prepare you for taking our top-rope belay test. After passing this test, you will be able to top-rope independently in the gym.

Take the next step and learn how to safely lead climb

The Stronghold's Introduction to Lead Climbing class will help you make the heady transition to the sharp end! Lead climbing involves a good deal more risk-management than top-roping, and belaying the leader requires more skill. Students should be well-practiced in top-rope climbing and belaying and feel bomber with both before taking this class. (Passing our top-rope belay test is a prerequisite.)
